Carl Merrick - Commerce
Carl recruits lawyers at all levels within commerce and industry with a specific focus on the energy, construction, property, transport and manufacturing sectors. He graduated in law at Leeds University and qualified as a corporate finance solicitor at Berwin Leighton Paisner where he practised as a corporate finance lawyer for two years. Carl joined Taylor Root in March 2005 and has 5 years of recruitment experience.

Donna Whiteley - Commerce
Donna is a law graduate from the Queensland University of Technology in Australia, having worked full-time during her studies as a paralegal prior to commencing her Articles of Clerkship with a boutique Brisbane law firm. She then worked as Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator at a leading Brisbane golf complex for a year prior to relocating to London and joining the in-house team in October 2007.
Julian Stone - Commerce
Julian graduated from King's College, London and subsequently qualified as a Barrister in 1996. He has 12 years’ legal recruitment experience as a specialist within the in-house market. Prior to joining Taylor Root to head up the in-house team, Julian was a director at Garfield Robbins where he established and headed their In-house division.

Maneesha Howard - Commerce
Maneesha graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2002 with Economics and Law degrees. After being admitted to practice in New South Wales in 2003, Maneesha worked as a commercial property lawyer before moving to a national recruitment agency in Melbourne, where she worked for two years before joining the in-house team at Taylor Root in London.
Miriam Kuepper - Europe
Miriam studied Law in Cologne and Lausanne and practised as a German lawyer for 4 years specialising in IP law. Miriam began her career in European legal recruitment in London in 2006 with the headhunting firm, Longbridge, where she specialised in recruiting lawyers for law firms and companies across Europe. Miriam joined Taylor Root in 2008 and will focus on the European in-house legal market, recruiting lawyers into banks and companies across the European region.

Nicola Lees-Jones - Compliance
Nicola joined the Compliance Team at Taylor Root in November 2008 from Robert Walters, where she was a senior consultant for 2 years, specialising in placing compliance professionals into Investment Banks, Hedge Funds and Asset Management. Prior to that she was at Exeter University where she read Italian & Sociology.
Nikki Liddell - Banking/FS
Nikki graduated from Exeter university in 2003 and travelled for a year before joining Badenoch and Clark as a recruitment consultant recruiting finance professionals in the in-house market. She joined Taylor Root on the in-house banking team in January 2007.

Richard Hanks - Banking/FS
Richard recruits lawyers at all levels up to General Counsel and across several different sectors, with a particular focus on the banking and finance market in London. He has experience of recruiting lawyers across a range of different specialisms, including both debt and equity capital markets, derivatives and structured products, and all areas of general banking including acquisition finance and project finance. Richard qualified with Travers Smith Braithwaite and practised for two years as a private equity lawyer. He joined Taylor Root at the end of 1999.

Sarah Ingwersen - Commerce
Sarah obtained an LLB (Hons) from Bond University in Australia and worked as a solicitor at Phillips Fox before moving into recruitment in 1999. She relocated to the UK in 2000 and has 8 years’ experience in the UK in-house market, recruiting lawyers at all levels from newly qualified through to General Counsel. Sarah joined Taylor Root in June 2005 to head up the Commerce and Industry division of the in-house team.
Sarah Phillips - Compliance
Sarah graduated from Southampton University in 1999 and has over 8 years’ experience in recruiting Compliance professionals. Prior to joining Taylor Root in November 2008 as a Manager of their London Compliance Division, she was a Manager at PSD. Sarah brings with her a wealth of knowledge of Financial Services and a detailed understanding of compliance and regulation market.
