In-house Market

We recruit for a wide cross-section of industry clients across Australia and New Zealand, from junior solicitor positions through to Legal Director and General Counsel level.

Taylor Root has a particular strength in the banking and finance sector. We are often retained exclusively by the larger investment banks and major employers in the IT, telecommunications and business services sector. However, we also recruit for a wide range of corporate clients in all industry sectors.

The in-house recruitment market is currently very active, with the majority of industry sectors experiencing healthy economic conditions. This has resulted in an increased volume of recruitment, predominantly at the three-to-seven year post admission level, across a wide range of sectors. The banking and financial services sector continues to enjoy strong growth and has a huge appetite for recruitment of lawyers with specialist skill sets in areas such as funds management, derivatives and both debt and equity capital markets. There has again been an increase in recruitment activity in the IT &T sectors.
