Our client, a leading global financial services provider, is seeking a 5-8 year finance lawyer to join their Commodities and Global Markets team.
This role will involve supporting the Global Mining Finance and Asia Pacific Upstream Capital businesses, which specialise in providing debt financing, equity capital and hedging to producers across the resources sector globally.
You will be expected to draft and negotiate term sheets, mandate letters, International Swaps and Derivatives Association documentation and confidentiality agreements. You will also instruct external counsel, review and negotiate documentation for syndicated and bilateral debt facilities, including project finance, corporate finance and acquisition finance as well as equity investments. The scope of this role will also see you involved in restructuring and work-outs of existing exposures.
To be considered for this role you will have gained a minimum 5 years' experience from a well regarded law firm or gained experience in-house in a banking and finance environment. Ideally you will have previous experience in structuring, drafting and negotiating facility, security, priority and tripartite documentation for secured financing transactions.
