Excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial litigation lawyer with at least 6 years post-qualification experience looking to join a highly regarded sector focussed firm with a clear social purpose and work for clients across a range of key sectors.
The work will be a mix of complex contract disputes, negligence, judicial reviews acting for local authorities, breach of employment restrictive covenants and defamation claims. You will be responsible for managing the entire litigation process working in specialist court divisions including the Circuit Commercial Court.
Candidates who can also assist with property litigation matters will be of particular interest, albeit this is not a pre-requisite.
Working with national clients from the outset, this role would suit an outgoing and dedicated commercial litigation lawyer who wants to take on responsibility for building their own client relationships, working closely with colleagues to understand the different client sectors.
The successful candidate will have the chance to have a real input into their own career development as well as supervising and developing junior team members. You will also have a clear desire to be involved in sector meetings as well as assist with business development, seminars and presentations.
Strong experience of dealing with a variety of complex litigation matters, experience of ADR including mediations and the ability to hold a client's confidence, advise on strategy, quantum and merits relating to any claim are essential skills.
In return the successful candidate will enjoy a rewarding and interesting caseload, responsibility and autonomy, flexible working and a highly supportive and friendly working environment. Our client strives to ensure that its employers are highly motivated and fully supported in order to carry out their roles to the best of their abilities. With a focus on high quality work that is not motivated by chargeable hour targets, this role would suit a senior commercial litigation lawyer looking for a different opportunity within a sector leading Legal 500 practice in Birmingham.
