Extremely well regarded full service national law firm seek a construction litigation lawyer join the Birmingham office.

The firm's national construction and engineering team advises on all aspects of legal construction matters. Its construction team has advised on some of the UK's most significant construction projects over the years, including infrastructure projects, logistics parks, commercial/residential schemes, town centre redevelopments, urban regeneration schemes, portfolio acquisition/disposal projects and process plants. The team acts for developers, occupiers, funders, construction professionals, contractors and specialists on managing and resolving risks in building and engineering projects.
Ideally, the team are looking for someone who has a strong background in contentious construction work. However they are open to meeting with dispute resolution lawyers with a commercial or professional indemnity background who are interested in becoming construction lawyers with a strong bias towards the contentious side. They are a growing team and are keen to have a team member who will support the team's strategic growth plans and offer exceptional client service.
The successful candidate will typically be advising on a mix of construction disputes in the pre-action stage and in adjudication, arbitration, mediation and court. You will be advising on claims in relation to time, money and defective work/design, during and after the construction phase. The team's contentious and transactional lawyers work closely together as one team, for example in providing risk assessments for clients as a project proceeds.
