Working for a great mix of clients to include; corporate businesses, charities and third sector clients, the successful candidate will get the opportunity to develop diverse public and private sector experience, specialist technical expertise and sector knowledge. The team deals with the full remit of contentious and non-contentious work and understands the ever-changing nature and complexity of employment law.
The role will incorporate a good mix of fee-earning, client relationship management and marketing and enable the candidate to develop their advisory and technical skills. In particular they will be; providing general employment advice; drafting employment contracts, policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures; assisting with and running claims in the ET; assisting in transactional work; as well as participating in marketing activities such as writing bulletins/articles, preparation and presenting at seminars and client events, networking and public speaking; and developing and maintaining an good understanding of their clients businesses.
The candidate should have; solid legal training with at least 6 months employment law experience,, strong time management skills, excellent attention to detail and drafting skills, the ability to work independently and as part of team, experience of dealing directly with clients and third parties and the desire to build strong client relationships. Experience of delivering training to clients and attending business development events will also be of interest.
