A unique opportunity for a professional indemnity lawyer to join the Group Legal team of one of the UK's largest residential property services group. Covering the core estate agency business, mortgage services, land, new homes, corporate sales, surveying, conveyancing and other property related services, this role will be accountable for the timely delivery of professional negligence defence work.

Reporting to the Group Head of Professional Indemnity Insurance & Litigation, you will act as group 'in-house' adviser and business interface in relation to professional indemnity claims, particularly claims arising out of surveyor defects, residential valuation and conveyancing work, and other property related claims. You will benefit from having excellent workload management capabilities, the ability to manage and oversee external counsel as well as being able to work autonomously when required.

Ideally, you will be 3-6 years PQE with strong post qualification experience of handling professional indemnity litigation. Experience in professional negligence claims relating to the property sector, such as property defect and property valuations and conveyancing, would be desirable but is not essential. You will be a motivated self-starter with a commercial and practical approach to problem solving and should have the confidence to engage and challenge external legal advisers on a peer-to-peer basis.

This role will be hugely rewarding, providing you the chance to lead on business-critical claims, allowing you to develop along with the business and expand your legal expertise. A great opportunity to further your in-house career, if this role sounds of interest to you, please get in touch ASAP.

Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.

Please note that your personal information will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
