Our client is a leading international manufacturing company with a global footprint whose shares are listed on SIX Swiss Exchange.

They are currently looking for a

Head of Global Trade Compliance (f/m/d)

to be based in their Regional European HQ near Düsseldorf (Germany) or their Global HQ near Zurich (Switzerland). In this exciting and challenging global position you will be responsible for the Global Trade Compliance strategy and organisation.

You will oversee and coordinate a globally acting customs and export control organisation as well as further develop global standards, systems and decentralised processes in the area of trade compliance. You will be responsible for the monitoring and analysis of the legal framework relevant to the global organisation (e.g. EU, US, CN customs, sanctions and export control regulations). You will manage a small operational team and cooperate cross-functional on various global projects, especially in the area of customs, sanctions and export control. Furthermore, you will conduct internal audits in the area of trade compliance and act as the central contact person for regulatory authorities.

You will be a trade compliance expert with an educational background in economics, supply chain, law and/or customs. You will have substantial work experience, ideally gained in an internationally operating manufacturing company. You will have strong knowledge of customs and export control regulations, including customs procedures, classification of goods (ECN/HS) and license application procedures in different jurisdictions. You will have experience in working with and ideally also leading geographically dispersed teams. You will also have a very good understanding of cross-functional processes in the area of supply chain and sales management. Fluency in German and English is a must.
