Legal Counsel - Online Company - London

An exciting opportunity exists for a Legal Counsel to join an expanding tech company in a newly created position. You will advise on a broad range of legal matters including commercial contracts, regulation, data protection, IP, general disputes, and risk. A good depth of commercial and contract experience will be needed to join an innovative business that is dynamically altering the way consumers access their servicesas the platform has grown exponentially and has changed from a service provider to a software platform in its mission to become the category leader.

About the Role;

Reporting to the Legal Director, you will provide commercial advice on a range of contractual matters across jurisdictions. You will draft and negotiate a range of contracts, including B2B customer agreements, suppler partner agreements, vendor agreements, and NDAs. You will also advise on data protection and privacy obligations.

About You;

You must be a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years' PQE lawyer. Ideally you will have experience working in either the technology or commercial/corporate practice of a law firm, and or/in-house at a technology company. The role requires an enthusiastic and diplomatic candidate with a pro-active approach. The ability to work flexibly in a fast-moving environment is also necessary.

This is an exciting time to join as the company expands their London team as it becomes their global headquarters. You will be joining a team of lawyers, though the role will be fairly autonomous, and you will be able to define your remit as it is a newly created position. The role is as flexible as necessary; there is an option to work from home as frequently as possible. Alongside a competitive salary, the company also offers 25 days holiday a year plus one non-working Friday every month, plus a non-working day for your birthday.
