A fantastic opportunity for a talented junior-mid level lawyer to join a global TMT company and one of the world's most trusted connectors of people, devices and machines across the globe. As a member of one of the most highly-regarded in-house legal teams outside of London, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills by giving expert legal support to the business in realising its network strategy whilst also supporting on a breadth of internal projects, with a specific focus on the latest innovative technology developments such as 5G, cyber security and internet of things.
Reporting to the Legal Director (Networks & Research) and as part of the wider Technology team, you will be involved in a wide-range of legal matters with responsibility for negotiating and drafting a variety of complex agreements with key vendors and suppliers as well as providing solution-focused, practical advice to key stakeholders across the business. A particularly exciting part of the role will have you supporting a wide range of projects developed by the Group's Applied Research Division, including trials and collaborations at the forefront of communications technology. Also working in partnership with other specialists across the wider legal team, in particular with the IP, data, litigation and competition teams, this will provide a fantastic to broaden your skillset and develop as an astute and well-rounded lawyer.
Ideally you will be 1-4 years PQE with strong post-qualification experience either in-house or at a top law firm. Whilst having experience in commercial and technology matters would be desirable, this is not essential and you will be joining a supportive culture providing you opportunities to learn and grow. You must enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic business and be a strong team player with a can-do attitude.
