An opportunity has arisen at one of the world's largest multinational mining companies for a talented lawyer to join the UK legal team supporting the Commodity Trading and Market Development (Marketing) business, as they continue to develop markets for the products they trade and produce. With a focus on the Platinum Group Metals (PGM's) market and with a big emphasis on low carbon products and the use of hydrogen, this role will support innovative projects and fast-paced, varied work.

Reporting to the Legal Principal (Marketing), you will be a key support in identifying both risks and opportunities with the marketing businesses activities, including trading queries, disputes and origination transactions as well as working closely with the internal business teams to advise on key commercial transactions/investments, projects and strategy developments.

Ideally, you will be 6+ PQE with strong post-qualification experience in a top city law firm and/or as an in-house counsel (in a large multinational). Experience in M&A, corporate finance and/or structuring leveraged and management buy-outs is essential for the role, whilst a knowledge of international commodity trading would be desirable but is not essential. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, progressive thinker and a strong communicator, comfortable building relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
