My client, a leading investment bank, is looking to hire a junior markets lawyer to join its lean legal team in London at Assistant Vice President level. This is a permanent role and I am looking to speak with UK or common law qualified lawyers with 1-3 years PQE who are working at a Magic/Silver Circle, leading international or top city law firm.
The successful candidate will be tasked with:
-providing advice and support on transactional, regulatory and governance matters across a range of Markets business areas, including Agency Securities Lending, Strategic Structuring desks and the bank's Treasury business in Luxembourg;
-reviewing and negotiating a full range of legal documentation including, among others, Agency Securities Lending client documentation, Agency GMRAs, Agency GMSLAs, internal loan documentation, security agreements, corporate authorisations and legal opinions;
-providing support on all legal aspects of regulatory and strategic change projects applicable to the above businesses;
-providing legal support to the bank's internal business approval processes and risk and governance committees;
-managing external counsel, including responsibility for legal spend;
-managing and complying with legal governance and controls; and
-fostering collaboration with other legal teams to ensure sharing of know-how and efficient legal coverage.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior finance lawyer who is looking to take their career in-house and work at an international investment bank. In-house experience gained on secondment to a financial services organisation would be beneficial but is not essential.
Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
