Our client, an international law firm with offices in the UK, Hong Kong and Singapore, are looking to recruit a paralegal to join their MIPTOC (Media, Intellectual Property, Technology, Outsourcing and Commercial) group. You will be assisting Partners, Legal Directors, Associates and Trainees in their London office, working on a mixture of non-contentious and contentious matters.
Duties may include:
- Assisting with the conduct of litigation/arbitration/mediation and involvement in, pre-action, pleadings, disclosure, witness statements and settlement negotiations
- Legal research
- Managing a workload of small claims with the support of a partner
- Attending client meetings/calls/conferences, occasionally with Counsel/experts and attending the occasional hearing
- Preparing bundles
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 MONTHS experience as a paralegal, within IP and/or commercial litigation, LPC graduate, well organised, proactive and good interpersonal and communication skills.
