We are now on an exciting journey to reset our brand and return to our design-led roots and we are looking for talented people to join us on our journey. We are looking for an experienced and innovative commercial/technology lawyer to join the well regarded in house legal team in a newly created position.
Reporting to the Head of Legal and managing a team of two qualified lawyers and a paralegal you will play a pivotal role in supporting the business to deliver success. You will be the legal lead for all tech-focussed functions across Digital, Ecommerce, Data, Performance Marketing, Logistics and Core IT globally. As well as offering strategic input you will be hands on advising on the negotiation and commercial implementation of a varied range of tech, SaaS and outsourcing contracts including complex, high profile and business critical deals. You will work on commercial matters in relation to global operations from sourcing, compliance, supply and sustainability to marketing, real estate, wholesale, licensing and franchise. You will manage a budget and, where required, the effective instruction of external counsel .
The ideal candidate will be at least 5-10 years PQE, UK qualified and possess some in house experience whether through a previous in-house role or via a secondment. You must be passionate about tech with an understanding of how technology and data can drive and support commerce and transformational change. You will need a commercially-minded approach, with an understanding of business operations, commerce and finance.
