GLOBAL TELECOMS INFRASTRUCTURE PLC - FRANCOPHONE MARKET
An excellent opportunity for a civil-law qualified (and French speaking) commercial or corporate lawyer, to join a global telecoms infrastructure Plc who operate in high-growth markets across Africa. You will be the lead lawyer for the Francophone market, joining a friendly and collaborative legal team and benefit from working hybrid between their London HQ and your home office!
About the Company:
A market-leading telecom tower infrastructure company who enable mobile operators to roll out and enhance coverage in high-growth markets. Owning and operating telecommunications towers and passive infrastructure in seven high-growth African markets, their principal business lies in building, acquiring and operating telecommunications towers that are capable of accommodating and powering the needs of large MNOs and other telecommunications providers, providing an essential service for the development of the communities in which they operate. The business employs over 400 people directly, and also supports over 9,000 contractor employees who are engaged in the maintenance and security of the tower network.
Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support for the Francophone Africa market, supporting the local francophone market Heads of Legal in all legal affairs, including but not limited to supporting on corporate transactional work, negotiation and completion of key supplier contracts and commercial agreements, as well as management of litigation and arbitration across the business.
You will need to have at least 4+ years of post-qualification experience, practiced as a lawyer in a civil law jurisdiction, have an excellent command of the English language and ideally have some experience or knowledge of working on Africa-related matters. This is a role of high-responsibility and you will need to be an excellent communicator, proactive and have the ability to work under pressure..
